Many authors have described that Calanthe okinawensis Hayata (Calanthe x okinawensis Hayata) is a natural hybrid between Calanthe masuca (D. Don) Lindley and Calanthe triplicata (Willemet) Ames. However, Kohji Karasawa and Genjiro Ishida identified Calanthe okinawensis Hayata as an independent species in their book pp.205-206, 'Calanthe', 1998 (ISBN4-89694-408-9). |
