Chemical constituents of two oriental orchids, calanthe discolor and C. liukiuensis: Precursor indole glycoside of tryptanthrin and indirubin. | |
Note | Many authors have described that Calanthe x dominii is a natural hybrid of Calanthe masuca (D. Don) Lindley and Calanthe triplicata (Willemet) Ames. |
RHS has identified that Calanthe dominii Lindley is a natural hybrid between Calanthe sylvatica and Calanthe triplicata, and also that Calanthe Dominii is an artificial hybrid between Calanthe sylvatica and Calanthe triplicata. However, Calanthe sylvatica is native to Madagascar. RHS's identification is based on an opinion that Calanthe masuca is a synonym of Calanthe sylvatica.
