Description Plants 30-100cm tall. Leaves 10-15cm wide, lower surface white, hairy. Flowers pale yellow perianths 1.5-2mm long (male flower), flowering in June to October. Perrenial plants.

Note Polygonum savatieri (Nakai) Tzvelev is a synonym of Aconogonon alpinum (Allioni) Schur (Syn. Aconogonon weyrichii (F. Schmidt ex Maximovicz) H. Hara var. alpinum (Maximovicz) H. Hara). Lower surface of lief of Aconogonon weyrichii var. alpinum is green, not white.
