Curriculum Vitae

Andrew Latimerの他，元メンバーを中心としたインタビューにライブ映像を交えて，Camelの30年の歴史を順に振り返るという企画ものDVDです
Brewに端を発するキャメル結成時の状況に始まり，各アルバムのコンセプトや当時のエピソード，メンバーチェンジの経緯などが，Andrew Latimer，Andy Ward，Doug Ferguson，Peter Bardensの4人のオリジナル・メンバー，更にColin Bassによって語られます

※いろいろとライブやBBCの映像が出てくるのですが，いずれも短い映像で，その点が少し残念です

2004年にCamel Productionsから発売されたCamelお宝映像集第1弾。
Curriculum Vitaeで使われた、各Live映像と再結成Brewの映像を収録し、全Camelファン必見だ。

先のFootageで収録されなかった別映像+最近のライブ映像となっている。
注目は、2000年のSlow Yourself Downアコースティック・ヴァージョンと、2003年Santa CruzでのFox HillでのおちゃめなColin Bassだ。

Moondances

Camel Footage 1 & 2で特に評判の良かった1976年4月14日Hammersmith Odeonでのライブ映像と、1977年9月22日のBBC"Sight & Sound"の完全版を収録している。
このほか、ボーナスとしてAutumn (1974年)とRiverman (1975年)のタイトルの未発表曲2曲を収録している。この2曲については動画はないが、初期の写真がスライドショー仕立てに流れる。タイトルからし て、Rivermanは、Siddhartha用に書き上げたものなのだろう。

Pressure Points,Live In Concert

Laser Disc

レコード化されているPressure Points, Live In Concertの映像版でLPより収録曲が多い。
終盤にMel ColinsとPeter Bardensがゲスト参加している。
Andrew Latimerが涙ぐむ場面は、Camelの解散を決意していたからだろうか?
Live映像にベルリンから亡命する若者達のドラマ仕立ての映像が被る部分がある。
日本では，ビデオテープのほかにLaser Discでも発売された。

2006年にCamel Productionsから発売されたPressure Points, Live In Concertの完全版。画質は良好
だ。これまで省かれていたLa Princess Perdueなど4曲が追加されている。
更に1985年のAndrew Latimerのインタビュー映像も収録されている。
例のドラマ映像は収録されていない。

再結成Camelがノスタルジーによるものでは無かったことが分かる素晴らしい演奏だ。

The Opening Farewell

長らく制作が予告されながら、Andrew Latimerの病気療養のため編集作業が中断していた2003年Farewell TourのLive映像が、ようやく2010年12月に発売となった。キーボードはTom Brislinだ。
パワフルでブルーズ色豊かなアレンジで、初期Camelを彷彿させる。

Andy Latimerが長い闘病生活を終えw、2013年にTourを再開したCameの10月28日ロンドンBarbicanでのライブを収録している。
第1部はThe Snow Gooseを全曲、第2部は新旧の代表曲9曲を演っている。
Denis ClementとGuy LeBlancの若いメンバーが、Andyと息の合った素晴らしい演奏を聴かせてくれている。

Colin Bass、Denis Clementに加えて、若いPete Jonesがキーボードを担当している。
彼の若々しいボーカルが良い。

Live at The Royal Albert Hall

2018年9月のロイヤル・アルバート・ホールでの公演を納めたLive DVD。Blu-Ray盤、CD盤も発売されている。
前半はMoonmadnessの全演奏、後半は新旧の曲を織り交ぜ、アンコールのLady Fantasyで終わる。
Andyの左手のサポーターが痛々しく、指使いが多少気になる部分もあるが、概ねスタジオ盤と同じアレンジで聴かせてくれている。
Pete Jonesの声、演奏に注目。
