This day, I was going to check the effect of the variation of the width of lines.By the soft touch of the pencil, the line will be uneven line by the texture of paper. By the strong touch and soft paper, then it will produce the even desity of the line. And the wide and soft touch line, I think, can be applied for the contuor line gradually receding to the eyes and becoming parallel to the eye line to the object, namely the out line of the both side of a cylinder standing uplight to the ground. For the out lines, like the contour of the back above the picture, don't produce a clear line. On the contrary, narrow and strong touch line can be applied for a sharp edge line, like a nose line of the side view, produce usually very clear line. So, I can express effectively the body mass only by the contour lines by the two kind of lines without any hatching that is usually used to show the volume of the body.
So, the simply application and choice of the various kinds of line are very useful method for croquis that needs very quick hands and drawing.

But, it is usual for a practice, I made haste myself to draw and forgot to veryfy the effect this time too, for I have to draw something to cognize the line on the paper is a human body.
It is not so easy work, indeed.
