There was a time when Unions not only made sense they needed to exist. The working conditions at the time were horrific and something had to be done. This is no longer the case. I have seen the effect of Unions on the tax payers in numerous industries. The bankruptcy of a city or county should not involve union negotiations. These are owned and operated by the people, not a corporation or business individual. Unions need to go as surely as Obama does if America ever hopes to grow out of its financial problems.
