Your trip to Manza Onsen reminded me of one
of the best skiing trips in my life back
several years ago in the middle of April.
Althogh it was warm and raining in Tokyo
area,we had to put the snow chains on the
wheel due to heavy snow fall around Manza.
And the wonderful open air hot springs overlooking
the beutiful peaks of Shirane mountains!
Most surprisingly the cost of the prince
hotel was something like \12,000 including
accomodation with 2 meals plus 2days ski
lift ticket.

You visited good mountains. Mt.Utsukushigahara
is easy-access-mountains. But the peak Kurumayama
and continued mountains is selected as one
of the Japanese 100 celebrated mountains
by Kyuya Fukada, the Honarable Member of
the Japanese Alpine Club. His Imperial Highness
Prince Naruhito is also the member of JAC
and is climbing the 100 celebrated mountains.
The president of JNC Dr.Togo is a menber
of 100-celebrated-mountains-climbers.

Just visited your site again, which has recently
expanded a great deal. The 25 photos from
Tokyo are most interesting. Please add some
more from Sumida river, the Shitamatchi,
etc. Then, this will be an excellent guide
to newcomers to Japan, and a very nostalgic
place to look at for those of us who have
been in Japan many times.
