JIU-JITSU JAP 地元レスラー対日本人柔術家 George Baptiste and Arata Suzuki to Meet in Novel Contest at the Tivoli To-Night. ジョージ･バティストと鈴木あらたが立ち合う新奇な試合はチボリにて今晩。 George Baptiste, champion wrestler of the city, and Arata Suzuki, a jiu-jitsu expert of Japan, will meet to-night in a wrestling-jiu-jitsu match at the Tivoli Hall, No S230 Olive street. ジョージ･バティスト、我が町のレスリング王者と、鈴木あらた、日本の柔術の達人が、今晩立ち合うレスリング･柔術試合はチボリ･ホール、オリーブ通りS230番地にて行われる。（※番地は不正確です） The match will be the first of its kind in the city, and the first in the country between two prominent followers of their respective arts. 試合は我が町におけるこの種のものの嚆矢であり、彼ら銘々の技芸の傑出した門弟の二人の間で行われる我が国最初のものとなろう。 The recent talk as to whether the jiu-jitsu expert is superior to the American wrestler will be determined by the result, and as each contestant is confident that his is the better system, the bout should be a good one. 柔術の達人が米国人レスラーに優るか否かについての昨今の議論はこの結果によって決着されるであろうし、両競技者とも己が流儀の優れることに自信を持っているので、好勝負は必至であろう。 Suzuki has a long record of victories among his countrymen, and his friends in this city have backed him to the amount of $250.
