Jimmy Esson, the famous heavy-weight wrestler, who was captured, has died of wounds in Germany. Esson attained the rank of sergeant-major. He won the heavy-weight competition in the catch-as-catch-can tourney held at the Alhambra, London, in 1908, defeating the Jap, Maida Yamato, in the final by two straight falls. 大英帝国スポーツのいかなる部門も英国で公表された西部戦線に由来する死亡者名簿の内には示されている。ジミー･エッソン、有名なヘビー級レスラーは、捕虜となり、怪我がもとでドイツに死去した。エッソンは特務曹長に昇格した。彼がヘビー級戦で優勝したキャッチ･アズ･キャッチ･キャン大会は、1908年に、ロンドンの、アルハンブラ劇場にて開催され、日本人、前田大和を、決勝で二本連取して破った。 前田大和“Maida Yamato”は、柔道家の前田光世です。 追記2011.7.1 CITWF Complete Index To World Film http://www.citwf.com/ WRESTLING: JACK ESSEN V.
