雲場池。アメリカからのお客様のガイドツアー。初夏の新緑が水面に映り美しい。町の中心部にありながら四季折々の自然を楽しめる。 "Kumoba Pond". Americans took part in our tour. At the beginning of summer, a beautiful view of fresh green was reflected on the water. The pond is located in the center of Karuizawa but we can enjoy the nature all through the seasons.	万平ホテル。1894年にオープンした軽井沢を代表する老舗名門ホテル。ホテルと軽井沢の歴史が分かる史料室などを見学。 "Mampei Hotel" is a long-established hotel representing Karuizawa opened in 1894. We visited its museum room showing history of the hotel and Karuizawa.
御膳水。ホテル鹿島の森の敷地内にある美しい湧き水。明治天皇がこの水をご飲用されたことから「御膳水」と呼ばれている。 "Gozensui" is a beautiful spring gushing in the site of Hotel Kajima no Mori. The reason why it is called "Gozensui" is that the Emperor Meiji drunk it.	軽井沢会テニスコート。 天皇皇后両陛下が出会われた場所としても知られる由緒あるテニスコート。 "Karuizawakai Tennis Court" is a historic court known for the fact that H.M. the Emperor (then the Crown Prince) met H.M. the Empress (his future wife) for the first time.
旧三笠ホテル。国の重要文化財。1906年開業の木造の西洋式ホテルで、今は一般公開されている。 "Kyu Mikasa Hotel" is an important cultural property of our country. It is a wooden, Western style building which used to be a hotel started in 1906. It is opened to the public now.	仕事関係者のアメリカ人をご案内。軽井沢駅の観光案内所にて。 We guided an American guest who was our business partner. We went into the tourist information office at Karuizawa Station.
観光案内所でパンフレットを選んでいるところ。 Choosing some pamphlets at the tourist information office.	軽井沢駅。お客様は2月の冬景色を気に入ってくださいました。 Karuizawa Station. The guest was pleased at a winter view of Karuizawa in February.
ホテルの前のお庭では、雪化粧をした木々が美しかった。 The trees covered by snow were beautiful in the front yard of the hotel.	万平ホテルの玄関前にて。これから館内見学をして昼食をとるところ。 In front of Mampei Hotel. We were going to go inside and have lunch.
軽井沢サイクリングツアー。軽井沢を流れる湯川のほとりにて。木々の緑と川の水の透明さに癒されました。 "Karuizawa Cycling Tour". The guests stood by the Yukawa River. We were relaxed by green woods and clear water.	お客様の自転車。白とピンクのルイガノで素敵です。このように自転車を持参される方も多いのです。 Our guests' bikes. These pink and white bikes of Louis Garneau have nice color. Many guests bring their own bikes like this.
軽井沢サイクリングツアー。お客様の後ろにはナスやキャベツなどの畑が広がっています。 Karuizawa Cycling Tour. Large fields of vegetables like eggplants and cabbages were extending behind the guests.	軽井沢サイクリングツアー。さらに広大な田園風景へ。頂上に雲がかかっていますが背後に浅間山が見えています。 Karuizawa Cycling Tour. We ran into a larger area of fields. We could see Mt. Asama though there were some clouds surrounding the top of the mountain.
軽井沢サイクリングツアー。お仕事仲間で参加してくれました。休憩に立ち寄った明治四十四年館の前で。 Karuizawa Cycling Tour. We heard the guests were fellow workers. This picture was taken in front of the Meiji Yonjyuyonen-kan we dropped in to have a rest.	明治四十四年館の1階にあるレストランソネットでティータイム。 The guests had a cup of tea at Restaurant Sonnet on the first floor of Meiji Yonjyuyonen-kan.
デザートと飲み物をお召し上がりいただきました。窓の外のお庭も美しかったです。 They had dessert and drink. They also enjoyed a beautiful garden view out of the window.	ツアーで使ったレンタサイクル。ティータイムの間、自転車も木々に囲まれ休憩中。 The rental bikes used for the cycling. The bikes were also having a rest surrounded by the trees while the riders were drinking a cup of tea.
軽井沢サイクリングツアー。別荘地に入ると静かで、各別荘の広大なお庭を見ながら気持ちよく走りました。 Karuizawa Cycling Tour. It was quiet in the holiday villa area. We pedaled comfortably looking at the vast yards of the villas.	湯川ふるさと公園の駐車場に停められたレンタサイクル。この公園は広くて緑も多く、住民にも観光客にも人気です。 The rental bikes parked at Yukawa Furusato Park. This large park has a lot of nature. It is popular among visitors and inhabitants.
湯川のほとりで記念撮影。すぐ近くにはスーパーもあり、自然と人工が共存しています。 This picture was taken beside the Yukawa River. There is a supermarket near here. The nature coexists with artifacts.	軽井沢サイクリングツアー。発地の田園風景。浅間山に向かうかのような一本道が気持ちよい。 Karuizawa Cycling Tour. A countryside view of the fields of Hocchi. A road toward Mt. Asama made us feel refreshing.
雲場池。紅葉が始まりかけています。紅葉の見頃を迎える頃には大勢の人がカメラを持って訪れます。 Kumoba Pond. The leaves were turning in autumn. A lot of people visit there with cameras when the autumn leaves are at their the best.	恵みシャレー。クリスマスのイルミネーションの時はたくさんの人が訪れます。 Megumi Chalet Karuizawa. Many people visit there when the illumination starts in Christmas.
ホテル鹿島の森の玄関前にて。約33, 000平方メートルの敷地に立つ自然と調和した落ち着いたホテルです。 In front of Hotel Kajima no Mori. The hotel is situated on the about 33, 000 square-meter site that quietly harmonizes with the nature.	鹿島の森ホテル。ホテル内喫茶店からは美しい中庭に出られました。 Hotel Kajima no Mori. We could go out into a beautiful yard from the inside of the hotel's cafe.
聖パウロカトリック教会。アメリカの建築家アントニン・レーモンドが設計。この後、土屋写真店で記念撮影をしてガイドにとってもよい思い出に。 ST. Paul's Catholic Church. The American builder Antonin Raymond designed it. After we visited here, we took some pictures at Tsuchiya Shashinten (photo studio / shop), which became very good memories for our guide, too.	ペンションウエハラの夕食。ガイドもご一緒させていただきました。和食でおいしかったです。これはカツオ。 Dinner at Kyukaru Pension Uehara. Our guide joined the dinner. It was Japanese food and very good. This photo is a dish of bonito.
ペンションウエハラで夕食を楽しまれるお客様。今日はたくさん歩きました。 The guest was enjoying the dinner at Kyukaru Pension Uehara. She walked a lot today.	ペンションウエハラの夕食に出たおそば。ソバは長野県の名産です。 This is "Soba noodles" at the dinner of Kyukaru Pension Uehara. It is a specialty of Nagano prefecture.
ペンションウエハラの夕食。エビの茶碗蒸しのようなおいしい一品。 The dinner at Kyukaru Pension Uehara. It was a dish of custard-like eggs and shrimps steamed in a cup.	ペンションウエハラの夕食。締めのご飯やお吸い物など。お客様のお話と、おいしい和食を楽しませていただいた夜でした。 The dinner at Kyukaru Pension Uehara. The last dishes were rice, Japanese soup, etc. The night, we enjoyed delicious Japanese food and talking with the guest.
