 香港のお客様をご案内。雲場池にて。秋の紅葉が有名な雲場池だが静かな雪景色もとても美しい。 We guided visitors from Hong Kong. This is the Kumoba Pond. The Kumoba Pond is famous for colored leaves in fall, but the silent snowy landscape is very beautiful, too. |
 雲場池の周囲には遊歩道があり20分ほどで池を一周できる。さまざまな角度から池や木々の景色を楽しめる。 There is an esplanade around the Kumoba Pond. You can walk around the pond in about twenty minutes. Enjoy views of the Pond and the trees from different angles. |

 バス停から白糸の滝までは歩いて1分。滝に至るまで少し坂道なので冬は滑りにくい靴がお薦めである。脇を流れる川も清らかである。 From the bus stop to the Shiraito Falls is a one-minute walk. A gentle slope is leading to the waterfall, so we recommend shoes difficult to slip in winter. By the side of the gentle slope, a river with pure and clear water is flowing, too. |
 白糸の滝に到着。高さ3m、幅70mの軽井沢の代表的な景勝地。水が白糸のように落ちている。 We arrived at the Shiraito Falls. It is three meters high and seventy meters wide, and is Karuizawa's representative scenic spot. |
 滝の水が一部つららになっており、冬ならではの美しさである。 Parts of the waterfall are icicles. It is beauty only in winter. |

 白糸ハイランドウェイでは白糸の滝の天然水を利用した『氷柱』の見ごろで迫力があった。 There were pillars of natural water of the Shiraito Falls on the Shiraito Highlandway. These pillars were powerful at their best. |
 軽井沢の寒さを活かした景観。夜にはイルミネーションも点灯し幻想的な雰囲気になる。 This is a view taking advantage of the cold in Karuizawa. The atmosphere becomes fantastic at night because illuminations are turned on. |
 旧三笠ホテルにて。日本人大工の手で建てられた木造純西洋式のホテル。中を見学できる。 At the Kyu Mikasa Hotel ("kyu" means "old"). Japanese carpenters built this pure wooden Western-style hotel. You can see the interior. |
 旧三笠ホテルは1904年築で1906年より営業が開始された。皇族や著名財界人たちが華麗なパーティーを行った一大社交場だった。 The Kyu Mikasa Hotel was built in 1904 and opened for business in 1906. This used to be a place for social interaction where the Imperial Family or leading businessmen held splendid parties. |
