Born in Japan, I first became interested in teddy bears when I received Winne-the pooh hand-made by my mother. That is origin of my teddy bear making.
In 1995, I studied basic technique of teddy bear making, and then at the conventions held in Japan, I have exhibited my original teddy bears as Nana's Bear named after my daughter.
In 2009, when I lived in London, I participated in Hugglets for the first time. Since then, the Hugglets has been the one of important showcases of my teddy bears, because I can show my bears to various people worldwide and I love to see their smiles when they pick up my bears.
What I have been trying to do from the beginning is to create the lovely soft sculptures that can makes you hug them with a smile, that can relief your heart, and that can share your joyful moments with you.
