子供はどの様に教育されるべきであろうか。現代の教育理論によれば、少年少
女には、学校教育時代に人格を豊かにするような様々な経験をさせてやるべきだ、
ということになっている。それはまことに結構なことだ。がしかし、学校はあく
までも学校であり、休日（に子供を送る人格形成のため）のキャンプ場ではない
のである。現代の子供達は、良い行儀作法や正しい食事の仕方、上手な身なりの
整え方等々、家庭で親がきちんと教えるべき事柄を習うのに多大な時間を学校で
費やしている。もちろん、こういったことを教えるのが全く下手な親もいるが、
だからといって、親の任務を代わりに行うのは、教師の仕事ではないのである。
