Facilities for convenience(#2) (stop)

There are two kinds of way to manage the stop in exhibition center. 

To Manage the stop by subsidiary company

The subsidiary firm is originally established, and the management of the shop is consigned there. 
We adopted this method in Tokyo Big Sight. 
The  cooperation with the center side is to be achieved. There is a category at which the shop hesitates to the joining. Sales of the stamp etc. are them. The profit cannot be so expected in that sales field. However, if the stamp is not sold somewhere, the customer is embarrassed. The flower shop is also necessary. Such a commodity is undertaken in case of the subsidiary firm which the center established. However, the management of the subsidiary firm falls into a dangerous situation when this becomes excessive. 

For instance, the subsidiary firm does the exchange business of the foreign currency for Tokyo Big Sight. 

In fact, There was no place where the foreign currency was able to be exchanged near Tokyo International Exhibition Center  immediately after the opening. The customer from foreign countries complained to us "International... where?" severely. The foreign currency can be exchanged, and there is even a business center (The Internet can be used) now. 

These are important fields thinking about the benefit and convenience of the hall. But, the private company does not try to expand the sphere of business to that field easily . 
We consigned the management of General Information of the hall to the subsidiary firm. It is painful work only being complained. 

The subsidiary firm undertakes work for the benefit of the center in fields where a lot of hardships exist and the profit is a little . Consequentially, this service raises the grade of the hall. It is important for the all of the center. 

Of course, there is merit also on the subsidiary firm side. 
This is the form by which the subsidiary firm  , as a proxy of the center, executes the business which the center side does. The commercial transaction admitted only by the center becomes possible. For instance, it is monopoly use for the logotype, and sales of the souvenir of the hall, etc.

If the rental charge is not taken when the consignee is not a subsidiary firm, the problem is caused. A across-the-board company will not think that it pays the rental to receive such a consignment.

However, those who come want to request as such unexpectedly. 
By the way, the most much having sold in Tokyo Big Sight immediately after the opening was a coming commemoration medal. 

To invite the convenience store

If the hotel is established as an annex, the convenience store etc. which can be used in cooperation with this can be invited. 

Because it is one branch of the chain, an original color as the shop in the exhibition center cannot be put out. 
However, the network with another shop can be used, and management is stabilized easily. (When there would be the profit more than as scheduled, perhaps the profit is sucked up to the network)。

When the bank (level to be able to do the foreign currency exchange) has the installation at the hotel, it is convenient. Though it might be very selfish Hope.

Well, which is good?

In conclusion, the latter is better. I think it is safer than the subsidiary firm method. However, it is also considerably difficult to find the convenience store actually you could entrust. 

Then, when a new company is established, the maximum problem of the subsidiary firm method is whether you could  headhunt the talent who actually be able to  entrust the shop . 
Such a person is not easily found. 

Fortunately, we were able to invite an experienced manager for Tokyo Big Sight. If the executive staff after he retires of the public office assumes office as the manager, I am convinced that the company will collapse. 

Danger that the public office takes part decreases if a private convenience store is attracted. Anyway, such a convenience facilities fail if it does not separate from the rule of the government as long as it is possible.

Collection method of shop rental

The method is basically the same as the subsidiary firm and the private shop attracting. To collect the royalty from sales at a fixed rate or to collect the rental charge according to the shop area. 

As for the commodity with a little profit such as stamps, it is necessary to devise the method of collecting by another standard. 
If it is not so, the phenomenon "To sale is to lose" is caused. 
These greatly influence the design of the POS system which you would introduce into the shop. It is necessary to decide the standard at a considerably early stage. 

Additionally, an electric rental and the air-conditioning rental are collected in actual expenses. 

As a rule, when the subsidiary firm method is executed, the center side itself sells the commodity, but selling is consigned to the subsidiary firm. 
When the convenience store is private, it becomes shape that the center to lend the area to the convenience store, and admit it to sell the commodity at there. 
Essentially, both are greatly different. 

About the prepaid card

The department store issues the gift certificate. 
The promoter serves to the exhibition enterprise in shape "Meal ticket". 
At the ideal exhibition center, we want to issue the prepaid card which can be used in the hall. Actually, it was possible. 
However, it is necessary to solve various troubles , though the ticket merely becomes a card. 
I do not want to speak many of it. I want to wish the promotion of deregulation strongly.
