Use the atrium for multipurpose.
The exhibition hall made of CG had been considerably completed. But I worried considerably about use of atrium after it became the final stage.

It seems that you should not do a selfish change though there is no ceiling.
However, the registration place on the promoter side is set up in atrium. The display where the content is expected is exhibited （※ The human strength airplane and the Mars surveyor were exhibited in aero 2000 in Tokyo Big Sight. ） The band performs the march. The hall is decorated with a lot of flowers. Therefore, I want to make the inside in atrium there is not rain. 

This ideal exhibition hall is made of CG. Because it is CG after all, I can cover the atrium completely in the glass roof.  And I know a lot of facilities like that are exist, too.
There is a problem of physical strength. But you must not forget that . When the atrium seals up with the glass roof, very a lot of air-conditioning expenditures are necessary. 

In the ideal exhibition hall, you should value the economy in above all. 

However, special feeling of open air becomes a sacrifice if it is enclosed with a low roof. 

Then, I decided to cover atrium with big shade. 

First of all, the prop is put up at the center, and this is fixed with a fat wire. 

Several thin wires are put from the prop on the hall, and the shade covers this wire. 

The material which passes light to some degree is chosen. （I think that the one like the material of the roof of Tokyo Dome is good ･･･.）

　

To make the wind pass, shade was divided up and downward. If you do so, the air-conditioning of atrium is not necessary.

Though the rain cannot be completely shut out, A comparatively big eaves were installed in surroundings at the entrance gate of the halls. 

The problem might be durability for this shade. 
It is necessary to experiment on the wind tunnel repeatedly, and check strength to the wind. 
And it is also necessary to change shade once every several years. So You should devise the method of facilitating exchanging.
