Underwater

As one of best scuba diving area in Japan, Ishigaki island has welcomed so many divers every year. Every time having been touching with this spectacular water world as a scuba diving instructor, I would like to introduce it to you. My favorite "Big Three" of this sea are, first is "Transparent blue water and incredible coral reef", second is "Manta ray" and last one is "other unique fish".

About 70 scuba diving shops are open in this island, each of them has own unique character, for example, specialized underwater photo, enthusiastic about manta ray watching, small group guests, etc. Basic diving style is "Boat diving" consisting of two dives per day (3rd dive is optional) whose price, including lunch, picking up and bringing back to accommodation, is almost ¥13,000-. Of course, well maintained rental equipment are available as an extra charge.

Also, non-diver can enjoy "wonderful underwater world" by snorkeling. Many of scuba diving shops can provide "snorkeling course" that you can ride a boat with divers and enjoy beautiful coral reefs and so many kinds of fishes.
