Let's design an ideal convention center

Mechanism to prevent damage of disaster.
A big exhibition gathers 100,000 people in a day. There are a lot of victims at the disaster.

Fortunately, the building have been built very strongly today .
Actually, we investigated the exhibition hall after a large earthquake of Kobe. Big damage had not occurred to the building though the ground had subsided considerably.

However, when the disaster is caused in such a place once, or when rumor extends, 、it causes the panic, and furthermore big secondary disaster is caused by that .

Therefore, it is necessary to prepare all the ways as safety and fire precautions.

When you say "Attention! This is the earthquake!!", the dispersion of the glass is worried about at first.

To take the lighting, the glasses are multiused in the exhibition hall. There are a lot of parts of the roof made by the glass explaining the example of Tokyo Big Sight. The customer worries cracking and dropping of it.

Therefore, the glass is made tempered glass. The wire net is put in the glass. The dispersion prevent film is pasted to the surface of the glass.

Moreover, room is applied to connected part of the glass so that the shake of the earthquake may be endured.

It is necessary to consider the expansion of the glass due to the heat at the midsummer etc. in the design.

At the Great Hanshin Earthquake, it is a famous story that the telephone was able to be used though electricity was disconnected.
The fire occurs simultaneously when the disconnected electricity is switched on.

The reason why the telephone was not disconnected is that there is "Surplus" on interior wiring.
On the other hand, the wiring for electricity was firmly put.
Therefore, when the building was distorted by the shake of the earthquake, the electric wire was not able to absorb the shake  and disconnected.

In the ideal exhibition hall, the remainder will be given to all electric wires including electric equipment.

Watch your step.

If the exhibition hall is built in coastal region, it is necessary to prepare in "Liquefaction" at the earthquake.
The ground must be reinforced enough, and reinforcement by Yaita (iron plate) etc. is set in the worrying part.

The ground subsides and moves on ground of reclamation it afterwards.
As conditions of location, it should be ground of reclamation with steady rock and sand. Enough years (It is said that about 15 years are necessary) should have passed since it reclaimed.

Some time ago, the subsidence of Kansai International Airport became a topic. I think that it was able to forecast beforehand.

The ground moved after having completed Tokyo Big Sight, too. However, it was a range which had been fortunately forecast at the time of the design. Fortunately, it was not necessary to reinforce the ground.
When the building is constructed, it is necessary to consider the movement of such ground.
